Unfamiliar with contra dancing? We welcome everyone, both beginners and experienced dancers, of all ages, to our family-friendly dances. Come alone or with all your friends --- it’s easy to learn. Mark your calendars to join us for a delightful evening of very lively music and dance!
Admission $7. Seniors, students and listeners $5. Age 12 and under Free.
Time: Beginners be sure to come at 6:30 p.m. for basic instruction.
Dance is 7 to 9:30.
Directions: We use a fine old-fashioned dance hall with AC, a tin ceiling and wood floor (soft-soled shoes, please), in the Prairie Coffee Company building, 333 Broadway, in downtown Cottonwood Falls. It's on the NW corner of the famous Chase County Courthouse. All 2008 dances will be in this location except for May and October. For May and October we will be in the Community Building in Swope Park. Take K-177 to Cottonwood Falls, turn east at Casey's, and Swope Park will be immediately on your right. Both locations are easy to find.
