Let's Rodeo

The 73rd annual Flint Hills Rodeo takes place this weekend in Strong City, Kansas.

The rodeo is the longest consecutively operating rodeo in Kansas and draws professional talent from across the country.  The rodeo is also a tribute of our Flint Hills ranching heritage, a celebration of the professional cowboys working in Chase County and throughout the flint hills.

Come join us for our "official" start of the summer season. The hills have never been greener.  Prairie flowers are dressing up the place and the weather is gorgeous. It's the perfect time to go for a hike in the tallgrasss prairie at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve.

Saturday looks to be a great day for the Rodeo Parade, starting in Cottonwood Falls and ending at the Flint Hills Rodeo grounds in Strong City.

Don't forget this year's rodeo features three evening performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 pm.
